Welcome to Clayton First Assembly of God
Rooted in Christ. Growing in Faith. Serving Our Community.
Clayton First Assembly of God is a welcoming, Spirit-filled church in the heart of Rabun County. We are grounded in God’s Word, strengthened through prayer and worship, and committed to helping people know Jesus, grow in faith, and find a caring church family.
Whether you live nearby or are simply passing through the North Georgia mountains, you are invited to join us. Jesus is here, and so are we.
A Place to Root
Deeply Rooted in Christ, Reaching Outward with Grace
Like the maple tree at the center of Clayton, a healthy church begins with deep roots. Prayer, worship, Bible study, discipleship, service, encouragement, and the truth of God’s Word give us strength through every season of life.
The branches and leaves are what others see: ministry, outreach, fellowship, compassion, and worship. The cross within our tree reminds us that Jesus Christ is not simply part of who we are. He is the center and the strength of everything we do.

Our Fourfold Mission
Living the Gospel Together
As part of the Assemblies of God, we share a clear mission: evangelize the lost, worship God, disciple believers, and show compassion.
Evangelize
Share the good news of Jesus Christ so people can know His saving grace and lasting hope.
Worship
Gather in prayer and praise, giving God the honor He deserves and welcoming the work of the Holy Spirit.
Disciple
Help believers develop deep roots through Scripture, prayer, fellowship, service, and spiritual growth.
Show Compassion
Demonstrate Christ’s love by caring for people, meeting needs, and faithfully serving our community.
Come as You Are. Find a Place to Grow.
Our prayer is that every person who walks through our doors – even while carrying heavy burdens – will encounter the hope of Jesus, the truth of God’s Word, and genuine care from His people.
What We Believe
Bible-Based and Spirit-Empowered
We believe the Bible is God’s inspired and authoritative Word. As an Assemblies of God congregation, we embrace four foundational truths that point people to Jesus and help believers live with faith and hope.
Salvation
Through Jesus Christ, people can be forgiven, made new, and restored to a personal relationship with God.
Baptism in the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit empowers believers to live faithfully, serve boldly, and share the gospel with others.
Divine Healing
We believe God still heals and invite people to bring every need to Him in faith-filled prayer.
The Second Coming of Christ
We live with confident hope in the promised return of Jesus Christ and the eternal life found in Him.
We Support Missions
Giving Beyond Our Walls
Clayton First Assembly is a mission-minded church. Each Wednesday night, we receive a special missions offering, and 100% of those funds goes directly to missions and missionaries.
Through local, national, and international partnerships, we help share the gospel, distribute Bibles, support families, strengthen children, and extend practical compassion.
